The starting point
MySkills Contest is a Canadian platform that runs skill based contests in photography, creative writing, art, sports, and short videos. Their goal is to give talented people across Canada a place to show what they can do and win recognition and prizes.
They needed a website where they could publish their contests, one that feels trustworthy enough for people to enter, and that can be found on Google.
What I did
I designed and developed the complete website on WordPress, with contest listings, category pages, an FAQ section, and a clear submission flow. The design is clean and lively, to match the community feel of the platform, and it builds trust with clear rules and contact details.
Basic SEO runs through the whole site: keyword research, proper page structure, titles and descriptions, and clean URLs, all set up with Rank Math and Search Console, so people searching for contests in Canada can find the platform.
